CLEVELAND, Ohio - Browns chief of strategy Paul DePodesta asked owner Jimmy Haslam about his tolerance level for a total rebuild two years ago.
DePodesta cautioned him that once the ride started, he couldn't ask off. If he did they couldn't reach their chosen destination: winning football for years to come.
Did Haslam firing Sashi Brown qualify as asking off the ride?
Does it mean the death of analytics?
Or have the Browns simply decided in hiring traditionalist John Dorsey to replace Brown that they don't want analytics to steer the ship.
