Earlier today, the Cleveland Browns agreed to a new contract extension with LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (see terms of the deal here), preventing him from hitting the open market in 2025. A little while later, in the team’s official press release announcing the move, general manager Andrew Berry had some very high praise for his young linebacker, including some usage of figures of speech that I never thought I’d see from a football team:
"When we drafted Jeremiah in 2021, we thought he was a unique player who embodied the skill sets needed to defend at LB in the modern-day NFL.
