General manager John Dorsey made a bold statement when he took over the Cleveland Browns back in December of 2017. Taking over a winless franchise, he attacked what was done by his predecessor, while sending a message to the team saying he wanted to get ‘real football players’.
His statement wasn’t well received at first, but he proved it was more than mere lip service. Dorsey started to release players — with Kenny Britt being one of his first casualties.
Britt was signed earlier that season to a four-year, $32.5 million deal, but managed to catch just 18 passes in nine games.
