Sweat is the perfect mix of best player available that also meets a need. Detroit has invested multiple early draft picks and a lot of money to bolster it’s defensive line the last few seasons. Montez would slide in opposite of top free agent prize Trey Flowers creating a young dynamic duo for the lions pass rush. Other positions considered were cornerback, linebacker and safety but in my opinion none of the options available at those positions offered as much value as Sweat.
