North Carolina quarterback and Mentor native Mitchell Trubisky won't be coming home to resurrect his hometown Browns.
The Chicago Bears traded up one spot to No. 2 overall, swapping picks with the San Francisco 49ers, to pick Trubisky.
The Browns took Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett at No. 1. Trubisky also enticed them, and there had been buzz for weeks about them considering him and Garrett at the top spot.
Of all the quarterbacks in this class, Trubisky seems to best fit the criteria Browns coach Hue Jackson seeks. The coach has repeatedly stated this offseason he wants a quarterback with arm talent, good processing speed and face-of-the franchise qualities.
