One of the last teams Gerry Rardin guided in his 35 years as Walsh Jesuit High School’s football coach will prove to be the program’s strongest pipeline to the NFL yet.
Four Walsh graduates are expected to soon enter the league, and at least one of them will be selected in the April 28-30 NFL Draft.
Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook, Texas A&M punter Drew Kaser, Duke kicker Ross Martin and Harvard offensive lineman Adam Redmond form the foursome. Cook, Kaser and Redmond graduated from Walsh in 2011 and Martin in 2012.
“It’s exciting for everybody,” Rardin, who retired as Walsh’s coach less than two years ago, said in a phone interview.
