The Browns selected TCU free safety Derrick Kindred in the fourth round (No. 129 overall) of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Kindred played all last season with a broken left collarbone, compiling 87 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles in 13 starts.
Here are notes on the 5-foot-10, 207-pound Kindred from NFLDraftScout.com Dane Brugler's draft guide.
BACKGROUND: A two-star cornerback recruit, Kindred starred at running back and safety in high school and committed to TCU over Iowa State and Houston. He played mostly special teams as a true freshman safety (one start), recording 20 tackles and two passes defended.
