It seems like the wait is finally over.
The Cleveland Browns are set to name rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel as the starter over Brian Hoyer, according to Yahoo Sports.
Had a source connected to the Browns QB decision estimate there is a 99% chance Manziel starts Sun. Maybe even 99.5%

Manziel was inserted in the fourth quarter of the Browns loss to the Bills on November 30 in relief of Hoyer, but did not see the field against the Indianapolis Colts this past weekend. Cleveland lost that game to the Colts in the final minute, but if they had been losing, Johnny Football may have seen the field.
Pettine said he probably would have made a switch to Manziel Sunday if team was behind in score. — Tony Grossi (@TonyGrossi) December 8, 2014
Perhaps the biggest indication of Manziel's status came from Pettine's reasoning for not naming a starter for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend yet:
#Browns HC Mike Pettine says "It's natural to lean the other way (Manziel)". Hint, hint.

#Browns HC Mike Pettine also says that he "hasn't talked to both players" as a reason for not naming a starter now. Another big clue. — DawgPoundNation.com (@DawgPoundNation) December 8, 2014
As if that wasn't enough, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan was told he can have Manziel ready:
Shanahan won't get in middle of the politics == have been told he said he can have Manziel ready RT @agasparro: @LaneAdkins @amesdog32

A change would not come as a surprise, as Hoyer has thrown seven interceptions and no touchdown passes during the last three games.
Get ready, everyone. Johnny Manziel is about to get his chance.
