The Cleveland Browns' search for former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's replacement has one central theme dominating parts of the interview process - what to do with quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Here's ESPN's Jeremy Fowler with the report:
No doubt, Johnny Manziel will be a prominent topic at these meetings -- what their plan is for Manziel, how to make him better, play to strengths (mobility, arm strength) and mask on-field weaknesses (fitting into language-heavy NFL offense, decisiveness).
What potential coordinators say about the talented but maligned quarterback could shape the Browns' long-term views on whether he's the answer in 2015.
GM Ray Farmer has indicated in recent week that the team remains solidly behind Manziel as the quarterback of the future in Cleveland, but whoever the offensive coordinators ends up being will have a major role to play in both assessing Manziel's progress and putting him into a position to succeed going forward.
