In another edition of Cleveland Browns rumors for the end of your work week, it seems like the rumors which cropped up regarding the Cleveland Browns and current San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh may have been just that--rumors.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that sources close to the San Francisco 49ers are attempting to refute any claims that the Cleveland Browns engaged them in trade talks for Harbaugh--

Multiple NFL sources have all confirmed that the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers were extremely close to a trade which would have landed Jim Harbaugh in Cleveland in exchange for a package of multiple draft picks.
At this point, the Cleveland Browns are declining to comment on whether any trade talks actually took place. However, the Cleveland Browns did issue a statement saying that they conducted an extensive search for a head coaching candidate, and that the Browns are extremely content with the signing of new head coach Mike Pettine.
