It is no secret that Clemson sophomore Derion Kendrick has been working at cornerback some this spring. What may be surprising to some is that the move appears to be more than just a short-term experiment.
Tigers coach Dabo Swinney said on Monday that the former five-star receiver was impressive on defense during a scrimmage earlier this month and added that Clemson is “continuing to rep (Kendrick) a little bit there. And we’ll cross train him probably the rest of the spring.”
However, sophomore cornerback Mario Goodrich added that Kendrick has “been repping all defense” for the past several practices and appears to be a natural at the position.
