What We Heard: Clemson 6, Winthrop 5

On Wednesday night Reed Rohlman delivered for No. 5 Clemson when he hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning allowing the Tigers to defeat Winthrop 6-5.

Wednesday’s win extended the Tigers eight-game winning streak and also improved their overall record to 22-4.

After the game the media spoke with head coach Monte Lee, Rohlman, Ryan Miller and Chris Williams. Here is what we heard:

“Well you’ve got to give credit to Winthrop,” said Lee. “I thought they did an unbelievable job of competing today. Out of all of the teams we’ve played I don’t know if we’ve played a team that put together more quality at-bats than that.
