Like many of you, I held my breath and said a prayer as Mike Williams was carted off the field Saturday. Football was the farthest thing from our minds at the time.
Now that we know Williams is out for an extended period, we can turn our attention to what it means in terms of football.
Williams will be missed. He is a complete receiver. Williams was the Tigers' best deep threat. He was the biggest target across the middle. It is obvious he will be missed.
However, Clemson receiver coach Jeff Scott said it best yesterday when he said no one will feel sorry for Clemson's wide outs.
