Watson paints Columbia orange as Tigers go to 12-0 with win over Gamecocks

COLUMBIA – Clemson had Deshaun Watson and South Carolina didn’t. End of story, end of game.

Top-ranked Clemson’s talented sophomore quarterback had another stellar effort and led a crucial fourth quarter scoring drive in Clemson’s 37-32 victory over South Carolina Saturday afternoon at Williams-Brice Stadium, helping ease the sting of three more turnovers that almost doomed the effort.

Watson had his third game this season with 200 pass yards and 100 rush yards. Houston's Greg Ward Jr. (2) is the only other FBS player with multiple such games this season. He finished with 21 rushes for 114 yards and three touchdowns and was 20-27 for 279 yards through the air as Clemson avoided the upset.
