In a perfect world, South Carolina (3-8) would like a manageable opponent in its final game of the season -- in order to procure its fourth victory of the season.
Hosting No. 1 Clemson -- also a fierce rival -- may not seem ideal. However, interim head coach Shawn Elliott isn't worried about the opponent. In fact, he's welcoming the challenge of having the highly-ranked Tigers come to Columbia.
"Clemson Tigers, number one team in the country," said Elliott. "I think we are thrilled about that, having the best team in the country coming into Williams-Brice Stadium.
