Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables isn’t too excited about playing his former team for a second straight year in a bowl game, but after it was announced No. 1 Clemson will face No. 4 Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31, Venables said he immediately switched over to thinking about the game and how he can get his defense better prepared for what they will see in the national semifinal game against the Sooners.
Venables says the Tigers’ goal over the next couple of weeks in to get sharper and cleaner.
