Sixth-ranked Clemson did something that had not been done in 83 games at Georgia Tech, they held the Yellow Jackets rushing attack under 100 yards.
In fact, Clemson’s defense held Tech to 71 rushing yards, the fewest yards allowed in the Paul Johnson era. After the game, Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables said it felt good to see his defense execute the way they did, but he said they know they still have a lot of work to do.
