CLEMSON – Dabo Swinney used a math example, of sorts, Monday night to describe what he is seeing from his players as spring practice heats up.
The defending national champs have to replace several key players this season, and Swinney said he is seeing players who were backups last season step to the forefront as they compete for a starting role.
Swinney spoke to the media following Monday’s practice, and said now that the younger players don’t have established superstars in their way, they are beginning to flourish.
“I think some of these guys, it's addition by subtraction.
