Top DT has ‘great interest’ in Clemson

Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren defensive tackle Jacob Lacey has made the rounds this year, visiting Michigan State, Tennessee, Penn State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Florida State and Michigan since late January.

Lacey added an offer from Michigan during his stay in Ann Arbor on Thursday, pushing his offer total into double digits as a sophomore.

He attended Clemson’s junior day on March 4, and defensive line coach Todd Bates checked up on him recently.

“I’m supposed to call him once a week,” Lacey said of what he heard from Bates. “It was great. They want me to come to camp.
