The Clemson women’s soccer team continued its perfect start to the 2017 season, defeating VCU 1-0 on Friday night at Historic Riggs Field.
“I didn’t think that we were at our best tonight,” said head coach Eddie Radwanski. “I was impressed with VCU’s work ethic and commitment and I think that brought a lot to the game. I credit our resilience to find a way to score a good goal and manage the game. I am pleased that we got the result, bit we know that we need to play better.”
In the first half, Clemson took six shots while holding VCU to only two.
