Clemson, S.C.—Clemson will attempt to set a school record for consecutive tournament victories when the Tigers compete in the 16-team Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate March 6-7. The tournament will be held at the par 70 Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.
Larry Penley’s team has won its last two events, the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic in Hawaii in November, and the Puerto Rico Classic on Feb. 20. No Clemson golf team has won three consecutive tournaments.
Clemson has faired well at the Palmetto Invitational with victories twice in the last five years and two other second-place finishes. Current Clemson senior Austin Langdale won the event as a freshman.
