St. Simons Island (Ga.) Frederica Academy four-star cornerback Jaylin Simpson named Clemson one of the five finalists in his recruitment on Thursday via social media.
Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Ohio State also made the cut for the top 2019 prospect.
“God has given me so many reasons to be thankful,” Simpson wrote in a Twitter post. “I’m thankful for all of my offers but these will be the 5 schools I will be picking from to further my academic and athletic future.”
Simpson (5-11, 165) received an offer from Clemson in late August. He then visited Clemson for the Auburn game on Sept.
