Clemson had no answer for Minnesota’s Jordan Murphy. The freshman came off the bench and just baffled the Tigers all night.
Murphy scored 24 points to become the first freshman to score 20 or more points in a game for the Gophers since 2012. He also added 10 rebounds in the 89-83 victory over the Tigers. Minnesota’s win evened the ACC/Big 10 Challenge at one apiece.
Clemson was led by Jaron Blossomgame’s 24 points and six rebounds. Jordan Roper added a game-high 25 points and had five assists in the loss. With the loss the Tigers fall to 4-2 on the season, and have lost two of their last three games.
