Tigers cruise to victory over the Cougars

No. 20 Clemson scored five runs in the first inning and cruised to a 13-1 victory over the College of Charleston on Tuesday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers bounced back from a series loss to Notre Dame over the weekend and improved to 15-5 on the season, while the Cougars dropped to 13-7.

Senior right-handed pitcher Brooks Crawford got the start for the Tigers and allowed just four hits across 4.1 scoreless innings, walking none and striking out one. It marked Crawford’s first appearance since March 1 due to injury, and he was on a pitch count before being replaced by reliever Sheldon Reed after throwing 59 pitches.
