The ACC's top 400m runner's key to success

Jeffrey Green has become one of the most decorated student-athletes on Clemson’s track and field team.

Green, who previously held the No. 6 time in Clemson history in the 400m, ran a 45.87 to break Wesley Russell’s 1993 record of 45.92 seconds. He also broke the 500m and 600m records this season. He’s become the top 400m runner in the ACC.

The Miami, FL native has been running track since he was seven years old, and his eyes are set on making it to the Olympics one day.

But due in part to battling mental obstacles, the journey to this point in his career was no walk in the park.
