The Clemson coaching staff made a stop in Texas earlier this week and one of the top running backs in the Lone Star State wound up with a Clemson offer.
TJ McDaniel, 5-foot-11, 185-pound Class of 2019 prospect from Southlake (Texas) Carroll helped lead the Dragons on a deep Class 6A-DII playoff run while collecting 1,854 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns.
McDaniel, who is the younger brother of Azusa Pacific RB Gavin McDaniel and Toronto Argonauts RB Cam McDaniel (Notre Dame), picked up the offer after Clemson defensive coaches Brent Venables and Mickey Conn visited the school on Thursday to see top 2020 Clemson target and defensive back RJ Mickens.
