Swinney says Clemson is special, making it hard for coaches to leave

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney loves it when he sees other programs pursue his coaches and support staff because he knows that’s because other teams want a small part of the special things that are happening in Tigertown.

Swinney’s staff hasn’t seen a lot of turnover since he took over in 2009. Since his first full season in 2009, especially with his coordinators. Offensively, he’s only lost Billy Napier (2009-2010), Chad Morris (2011-2014), and Jeff Scott (2015-2019). On the defensive side of the ball, Swinney has worked with Kevin Steele (2009-2011) and Brent Venables (2012-present).
