CLEMSON — Ashton Hampton, who started four games at corner as a freshman last season, missed Saturday’s spring game with an injury.
Hampton was spotted during pregame wearing a sling on his right shoulder, with Dabo Swinney noting after the scrimmage that they just went in and “cleaned” some things up.
“Ashton, he kind of reinjured himself,” the head coach said after the scrimmage. “We had to kind of get him cleaned up, so he will be back, ready to go.”
Hampton burst onto the scene during his first season with the Tigers. He appeared in all 14 games, recording 30 tackles, six pass breakups and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
