The Clemson Insider has confirmed with multiple sources that head coach Dabo Swinney’s plan is to hire Lemanski Hall as a defensive coach once the NCAA approves a 10th full-time position coach.
The Division I NCAA Council proposed adding a 10th coach back in October. Currently, FBS programs can have just nine full-time assistant coaches.
Hall, who TCI spoke about in Monday’s Insider Report, is expected to be a coach on the defensive line once the ruling is passed. According to two sources, this move will have nothing to do with the Marion Hobby situation, should he leave Clemson to coach in the NFL.
