South Carolina commitment J.J. Givens was impressed with what he saw during his first look at Clemson.
The three-star safety from Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Va. visited on Saturday for the Florida State game.
“Honestly, I liked Clemson’s football team, just overall, like the perseverance that they had,” Givens said. “After Florida State scored on the second play from scrimmage, all of the energy kind of died from the crowd. Then, the very next drive, they got the energy back.
“It just showed the resiliency of their football team and the heart that they have.
