Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson injured his knee early in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma last Thursday and had to sit out the remainder of the game.
Lawson was a great coach as he continued to pour into his replacement Austin Bryant as the game went on, but it was clear he wanted to be out on the field with his teammates and help the Tigers earn a victory. It’s clear, however, he is hurting.
I talked to someone that talked to Lawson yesterday as the team left and here is what they had to say:
“You couldn’t notice he had any pain when just looking on the outside, but when I talked to him, you could tell he was in pain.
