Gadsen (Ala.) Southside’s Gavin Orr competed at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June after receiving an invitation from offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.
Orr plays tight end/H-back in his high school team’s run-heavy offense, but worked out with the offensive linemen upon Caldwell’s request.
He impressed the Tigers with his showing, and Caldwell has kept in touch since.
“Coach Caldwell has been messaging me just checking in,” Orr told TCI. “He’s been straight up with me, (saying) they have offered a few O-line guys and are waiting to see what they do. He’s told me to be patient and Clemson is definitely worth waiting for.
