CLEMSON — Adam Randall isn’t your typical running back. Or is he?
Randall is built like a tank and his 225-pound frame has only helped with his transition to playing a new position.
The former wide receiver made the move to running back ahead of Clemson’s first-round College Football Playoff matchup against Texas. Phil Mafah was injured and Jay Haynes had just torn an ACL in the ACC Championship win over SMU, leaving the Tigers paper-thin at the position.
Enter Randall. The 6-foot-2 former wideout broke off a 41-yard run in the second quarter, giving fans a glimpse of his potential playing the position.
