The Clemson Insider has learned Clemson kicker Ammon Lakip’s case has been heard in Pickens County, though what transpired in the hearing cannot be released for public record at this time. The Office of the Solicitor for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit had “no comment” for TCI when we called them earlier this week, nor did Lakip’s attorney.
Lakip was suspended by Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney following his June 6 arrest for driving under the influence and simple possession of cocaine. Swinney has since said Lakip will not start fall practice with the rest of the team, and will have to miss a few games once he comes back.
