Most rankings-makers in the recruiting world think Trey Smith is one of the 10 best offensive tackles in the class of 2017.
Scout (7) and 247 (5) both include him inside the 10. Rivals lists him at 24. All three services rate Smith as a four-star.
The junior from Jackson, Tenn. (University School) first visited Clemson last fall for the Georgia State game. He was back earlier this month for the Tigers’ win over Florida State.
“Clemson was awesome. From start to finish, it was a great visit,” Smith said. “I was able to see more of the campus this time, that was one of my requests I made.
