Clemson defensive end Xavier Thomas burst onto the scene as a freshman after entering the program as a 5-star prospect out of IMG Academy.
But this season the sophomore did not have the production he hoped for due to injury.
This year he missed time for a concussion in the middle of the year which caused a dip in his stats from 2018. ESPN’s David Pollack feels Thomas was somewhat of a disappointment and failed to live up to expectations this season.
“I really liked Xavier Thomas last year and coming into the season I thought he was very special, and I thought he was really going to take it to the next level, and he hasn’t,” Pollack said.
