Pitching should be stronger in ‘17

Now that Pat Krall is returning to Clemson for his senior year and Alex Bostic is off to try his hand at professional baseball, Clemson head coach Monte Lee and pitching coach Andrew See can start to piece together what the pitching staff in 2017 might look like.

The Tigers lose just two pitchers off this season’s staff that pitched significant innings. Clate Schmidt was a senior and used up his eligibility, while the aforementioned Bostic will play professional baseball.

Joining All-ACC pitcher Pat Krall is weekend starter Charlie Barnes, who pitched 94.2 innings as a sophomore, and Alex Eubanks, who pitched 81.
