When Clemson and Oklahoma met in the 2014 Russell Athletic Bowl, quarterback Baker Mayfield was sitting out after his transfer from Texas Tech University. Although he wasn’t able to play, he had a nice sideline view of the 40-6 beat down that his Sooner teammates received from the Clemson Tigers.
Leading up to this year’s Capital One Orange Bowl game and much anticipated rematch, Mayfield had this to say to the Miami Herald, “I’m in a spot where now I can actually help my team out on the field and not just from the sideline.
