Death. Taxes. Nick Saban in the 4th quarter.
Leading up to the national title game, Nick Saban was an astonishing 97-0 when leading by double digits heading into the 4th quarter. And with the Crimson Tide holding a 24-14 lead, things didn’t look good for the Clemson Tigers.
But nobody told Mike Williams that. Or Deshaun Watson. Or the rest of the Tigers.
The Tigers scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, including the game winning touchdown with just a second left, to win their second national title, upsetting Alabama, 35-31.
They did that thanks to some monster grabs by Mike Williams, who finished with eight catches for 88 yards.
