Clemson safety Tanner Muse has scored two defensive touchdowns in his first two seasons at Clemson. If he does it again, don’t expect to see him celebrating.
The redshirt sophomore was charged with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for excessive celebration following his fumble return touchdown during Clemson’s loss to Syracuse on Oct. 13. The flag led to the Orange scoring a go-ahead touchdown on their ensuing drive.
Needless to say, Dabo Swinney was not happy. Clemson’s head coach chewed out Muse and laid into him throughout Syracuse’s possession.
Muse said on Monday that he has learned a lesson.
