Before and after Wednesday, the state’s college football coaches have their own teams to worry about.
But for one night, Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, South Carolina’s Will Muschamp, Furman’s Clay Hendrix, Wofford’s Mike Ayers, South Carolina State’s Buddy Pough and The Citadel’s Brent Thompson will be on the same side.
They will gather for the seventh South Carolina Coaches for Charity event in Greenville.
The idea was conceived by former Air Force Academy coach Fisher DeBerry, a Cheraw native and Wofford College graduate. Each coach raises funds for a charity of his choice, and the event includes silent and live auctions as well.
