I have to admit, I like athletic director’s Dan Radakovich’s decision to go with Monte Lee as Jack Leggett’s successor to run the baseball program.
Lee, who agreed in principal with Radakovich on Tuesday to become the Tigers’ new head coach, brings youthful energy into the clubhouse as well as a wealth of experience he gained first as an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina and then the last seven years at the College of Charleston.
During his time with the Cougars, Lee’s teams averaged nearly 40 wins per season as he racked up an impressive 276-145 record.
