James Mitchell attended all three days of the second session of the Dabo Swinney High School Football Camp last week, and he is a 2018 prospect at tight end that position coach Danny Pearman will be keeping tabs on.
Mitchell, a product of Powell Valley High School in Big Stone Gap, Va., said Pearman mentioned the possibility of a Clemson offer down the road.
“At camp he said he liked the way I used my length,” Mitchell said. “And he just told me to keep working hard because he really likes me as a prospect.
“I didn’t really get to sit down with him personally, but I talked with him some during the practices, and once at the end of camp, and I can tell he wants to build a relationship with me and my family.
