CORAL GABLES, FLA. – The No. 4 Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes broke open their 3-1 lead with five runs in the fifth inning en route to a 10-5 victory over No. 12 Clemson at Mark Light Field on Sunday afternoon. The Hurricanes, who swept the series 3-0, improved to 20-4 overall and 7-2 in the ACC. The Tigers fell to 17-6 overall and 5-4 in ACC play.
After Chase Pinder extended his hitting streak to 10 games in the first inning, Seth Beer hit a home run on the first pitch of the second inning, his 11th long ball of the year, to up his hitting streak to 21 games, tied for the 16th longest in school history.
