Clemson’s depth in the defensive backfield was tested this past season, and it doesn’t appear to be adding strength in numbers this year.
While the Tigers will most likely finish with two or three defensive backs in their 2018 class, they will lose several after this coming season either due to graduation or exiting early for the NFL draft.
2019 should be a big class for Clemson, likely exceeding over 20 recruits and probably ending up around 25. Defensive back will definitely be a pressing need that Brent Venables will target, so let’s take a at a possible cornerback prospect in next year’s class.
