Kirkland’s goal was to have fun, entertain Clemson fans

Levon Kirkland is happy to just be in the stadium at Memorial Stadium when he attends a game, much less have his name etched in the concrete across the base of the north upper deck.

“My family’s last name is inside the stadium, so that is the best part about it,” the former Clemson Tiger said. “I am really happy with what has happened throughout my life and throughout my career. I can just remember being that eleven-year-old dreaming big dreams, so for all of this to happen, it is just amazing to me.”

The latest thing to happen for Kirkland came on June 2, when he was nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame.
