CENTRAL, S.C. — Daniel High School graduates and former Clemson football standouts Jarvis Jenkins and DeAndre Hopkins teamed up a few years ago to start a Daniel High School youth football camp.
On Friday, Jenkins and Hopkins — along with Daniel alumni and former Clemson defensive linemen DeShawn Williams and Shaq Lawson — returned home for the third annual Alumni Football Camp at Daniel High.
Approximately 515 kids from ages 8 to 15 participated in the camp.
“We were like, we have to get a camp started. We can’t keep going in and not giving back to the community,” Jenkins recalled of a conversation he had with Hopkins.
