CLEMSON — Jacob Jarrell hit two home runs, helping propel No. 4 Clemson to a 4-2 win over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Jarrell’s first homer, a solo shot out to left in the sixth, broke a 2-2 tie. His second, another solo shot out to left, would come in the eighth, giving Clemson relievers all the cushion they would need. Jarrell now has a team-high seven home runs this season and would finish the night 2-for-4 with the two RBI.
Collins Priest accounted for the team’s other two hits, also finishing 2-for-4, with one RBI.
