LOUISVILLE, KY — TCI takes a look back at No. 16 Clemson’s 15-2 loss to No. 6 Louisville on Friday evening at Jim Patterson Stadium.
What happened?
The Cardinals (27-7, 11-5) scored three runs in the first to take an early lead, but the Tigers (24-10, 8-8) cut into the deficit with a single run in the second as Weston Wilson led off the inning with a triple and came in to score on a sac fly by Chris Williams. Louisville added two runs in the third and again Clemson would score a single run in the fifth, this time on a RBI groundout from Chase Pinder, to make it 5-2.
