KINGSTON, RI — TCI looks back at Clemson’s 8-2 win over Boston College on Friday afternoon at the University of Rhode Island’s Bill Beck Field.
What happened?
The Tigers (18-4, 6-1 ACC) jumped out to a quick and early lead. Chase Pinder led off the game with a single and came in to score on Seth Beer’s RBI double. Chris Williams followed with a ground rule RBI double to plate Beer and Jordan Greene hit a two-out single to make it 3-0 in the top of the first. Clemson continued their scoring in the second with three consecutive walks to start the frame before a run came in on a Williams RBI fielder’s choice and Andrew Cox followed with a RBI single to extend the lead to 5-0.
